I note that I can't take part in the track-day part of Rockingham due to the fact that my car is just too noisy (103Db static limit).... would I still be allowed out for the parade lap / record attempt?

You can buy some silencers for the Cerb that will take it to below most limits for track days.

We had some on our Cerb cos she was a truly noisy beastie ...

Look ridiculous but do the trick

If the race cars are supposed to be testing between track sessions for everyone else and the noise limit is 103 dB... then I suspect we won't get much testing done....

There is a possiblilty that the level might be up tp 105db but I can't confirm this until later in the week. We're doing our best.

I was on the understanding that a track had X amount of allowed noisy days per year. Are Rockingham saying we have a noisy day one momment and a noise restriction the next all in the same day.
Who's making these rules..

Errrr no, as we apeak the official limit is 103bds but there may be a possibility we can get it extended to 105.

They are on the same day. It seems pretty clear to me - at the moment the max noise level on the Saturday is 103 dba and the club are trying to have it lifted to 105 dba.

If it remains at 103dba then that may of course exclude some people. It would certainly give some of the race cars a problem. We are pretty much 105 on the button.

I'm sure the guys are doing their best to get the limit lifted to 105.
