Would you leave your car there over the weekend?

You could leave it there - but it might not be there when you get back!

I frequently leave mine there for a day or two at a time.

I would recommend parking in one of the 'Business' car parks: Pink Elephant (for Terminals 1, 2 & 3) or Park & Fly for Terminal 4.

I've used Purple Parking and it's been OK.

I park in Pink Elephant all the time - if you look there are more spacious spaces to avoid dings. The majority of spaces are extremely tight.

Not cheap, but if it's expensed who cares?

I've seen a lot of exotica in Pink Elephant. It's secure, and if you go to the far end of the car park (turn left as you go in), there is normally a load of space too. The old addage of 'you get what you may for' I reckon....

I have used Purple many many times, the chaufeur service is very nice for £30, not sure with a TVR though!

With Purple Parking when you go to the car park you drop the car off leave the keys and they park it for you ....not sure i'd be happy to do that with my TVR.

I don't think that letting them park it is a problem - we have used Purple Parking a couple of dozen times in the past five years. The spaces are generally wide, and there are plenty of high value cars parked there.

However I will say that the service gets worse every time we use them. You can end up waiting at the terminal for twenty minutes or more for the bus, and then they can make you wait until it is full. The record was on our last trip - from calling them to actually setting off from the terminal was a whole hour. This is not what you need after a long haul overnight flight. We will continue to use them for the next couple of trips but if things don't start improving, we will look elsewhere.

The chaufeur service is great, arrive at terminal, they take car away. On arrival call from luggage reclaim, your car is outside the terminal waiting for you, worth £30 anytime, buses after landing!

The chaufers enjoy a bit of exotica - often see them hooning around on their way to the compound. A while back one of them managed to rip the back wheels off a porker at the traffic lights on the exit to the airport. That must have made an interesting conversation with the owner.

I'm a loyal Pink Elephant parker - never had any problem - apart from the jet fuel grim that covers the car when you get back after a few days. I think they do some discounts if you book in for the weekend - worth a call - otherwise can be a bit pricey (unless the company's paying )

I have to say i would think twice about the TVR, but in the 4X4 auto, what can they do, hit the traction control, the ABS or the rev limiter. I always bung em a fiver on drop off, i just like to think they treat it with a litle more respect.

You'll probably get a free interior valet in future now they know how much loose change you throw on the floor.

Parked in Pink Elephant for the weekend. All came up roses, apart from all the bird cr*p that hit the car , why can't the planes take out the pesky flying vermin

Always use Pink Elephant or T1 - never had any issues with any of them - and I've left all 4 cars there for varying lengths of time.

I know some guys that used to work in a car park set up in Gatwick. They used to take the exotica out for races around fields etc !!! this was back in the late eighties. They used to particularly pick on audi Quattros.
Dont leave anything of any value in the car ever.

We live a £7 mini-cab ride away from Heathrow so parking is not a problem for us!

Perhaps we should start a TVR paking service!

Personally I would never take a cab anywhere from my house with suitcases.
