Hi all, does anyone know a reliable workshop in Germany.
Just had my Tuscan engine overhauled and so has 12 month warrantee.
I "slowly" drove the car to Germany during my running in.
Havnt taken her above 3000 revs the first 1000 miles and just had my 1000 miles oil changed
in March.
Done another 200 miles now keeping below 3500 revs but it now sounds like its dropped a valve...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhh

Cant believe it but anyway have to either get her back to the UK or get them to come out to Germany and fix it or
find a good workshop in Germany who can do the warrantee work for the UK Company.

I am very sad.

Thanks, I tried both these numbers this morning but no reply so will try again on Monday.
I am in Salzgitter in the North.

I have informed the Dealer in the UK and so they are going to call me back on Monday with their plan. I thought that I should gen up on my options in the mean while.

Thanks again.

Hello,

since you're in the north, why don't you contact the Belgian dealer?
He's very good!

He might be there in the afternoon!

Hi,

I would like to suggest TVR Sports Cars Harald Gehrke. To my opinion, a very experienced guy and definately a ring worthy. +49-2331-588182

Thanks Fred

It looks like the solution to my problem is to get the car transported back to the UK.
The guys that did my engine overhaul have said that they will put it right straight away but I need to get it back to them.

I joined the ADAC in March with their Plus Service (75euro) and spoke to then today. They told me today that I am covered for the transport !?!?!?!?! Not sure if there is a charge outside Germany yet but I will know tomorrow.

Anyway, I will give your man a call tomorrow for future support.

Again thanks,
Tony

probably the cheapest option. when i destroyed my s3 exhaust system in belgium (those motorways are rubbish at 220!), the german dealers wanted 2 1/2 times more just for the system than it cost to buy and ship a system from the uk. you can imagine what i did. btw i'm a brit based in paderborn if you're travelling this way.

Yes, see what you mean about costs but the engine is covered by the warrantee so It looks like my best option is to get the car back to the UK.
I'll let you know what the ADAC say later today.
I'm up near Braunsweig. If you come up this way e-mail me and we can meet up.

Just for information, in March I joined the German ADAC.
I took the Plus package which covers you in Europe.
The plan cost Euro 84,-
The ADAC are now transporting my Tuscan back to the UK for a warrantee repair free of charge.
The AA wanted 350,- quid for a once per year rescue ?!?!?!
