Morning Folks,

I'm driving into the City on Wednesday and the NCP that I usually use has now been closed down. Land sold of for development.

The NCP I used to use was Rodwell House, near Artillary Lane and Liverpool Street Station.

The nearest other car park (City of London Corporation I think) is Whites Row. BUT I wouldn't trust my driving to get the Tamora in there without some serious wheel damage.

Is anyone able to recommend parking suitable for a TVR within a shortish walk of Liverpool Street Station? I could take the train, but as Wednesday promises to be a good day I'm tempted by a top down drive. Quite looking forward to the exhaust note bouncing off the buildings.....

You could try the one under Finsbury Sq on Moorgate and then wander down London Wall to L St.

Never had an issue with the Griff. Not tried with the T350.

To be honest it is full of nice bits of kit which would have similar clearance issues though.

Just done a quick 'streetmap' and there seem to be a whole cluster just north of LS which may help as well: www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=533041&y=181930&z=1&sv=533041,181930&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

Hey

If you recall where you gave me the CD there is an old bombsite car park. I would trust my tamora in there and I have/do. Its opposite the NCP at fenchurch st and the railway goes over the top. Its also only £11 a day and they certainly get there fill of quality cars. 10 mins walk to liverpool st but an easy in out job.

cheers

Thanks for this Guys. The wife keeps telling me to let the train take the strain, but if the weather's going to be good I just can't resist.

Yeah Simon, I think I remember the one you're talking about. Does it fill up early though, as I won't be there until the afternoon.

Well, as like most wives, she is spot on.

As like most husbands I hope we can assume you will ignore said wife

There is one near cannon street / bank , maybe a slightly longer to LS but TVR friendly and you'll have some others to park next to.

I remember the halcyon days of the mid 80s when I worked for the GLC at County Hall. Most sunny lunchtimes were spent going for long 6 - 13 mile runs. Of course, you just had to go through Green Park, St James' Park, Hyde Park....

I'd have gone for a 13 mile run if I'd worked for the GLC as well

There's also the Corp of London underground one on London Wall, the dual carriageway section. I have parked the Chim there with no bother at all..

The sun is shining, there's a tank of petrol in the Tamora, I have my Ray Bans on - and I'm armed with a list of possible car parks.

The train can take someone elses strain. Bugger Ken's Congestion Charge, here I come.....
