Hi Guys,

Any ideas where I can get a replacement battery for my Griff (1997 - 500)in and around Hertford? I want to pick one up this weekend and try to get the car going again. I found a place in Stevenage that has one in stock for £65, but is only open Monday to Friday, which is not much good to me as I work in London during the week.

Any ideas?

Also, I need to check that the battery is being charged properly. It went flat very quickly and I want to make sure the alternator is doing its job. How do I do this. Is it simply a case of sticking a volt meter across the terminals with the engine on and off and looking at the difference? If so, what should the difference be?

Many thanks in advance,

Alex

I think the unipart place near the Chesthunt railway station is open on Saturday... I got a battery for my SEAC there.
