Anyone had experience of the chain ferry at Sandbanks? Planning to take the BBW across, and wondered how TVR-friendly it is, as the Wedge is fairly low. I usually have to be very careful on the cross-channel stuff.
Thanks

You mean the Swanage ferry? Not taken my TVRs across but there was a cerb that a hotel owner across on Studland used to take across.

If you're really worried about bottoming out take a couple of chocks with you or drive at 45 degrees as you approach, exit. Only long cars tend to have a problem.

Cheers all - I usually take ramps at 45deg. or so, and this one doesn't look like a problem.

If you go to Brownsea island on a sunday, say hello to my dad he'll be on the quayside somewhere if he isn't doing a tour of the island.

Its fine. Only thing to watch out for is the sand covered road the other side which is a bit slidey sometimes.
