Could anybody recommend anywhere in the Nottingham/Derby area which could help me by re-stiching about 4'' of
window/hood on a chimaera ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I got the transparent panel on my S2 replaced, involving stripping canvas off top and rear hoop, stitching new panel in, refixing hood to hoops, for £85 in Bradford. Bargain!

I had the plastic window replaced 3 years ago wasn't happy asked them to redo it.
It has started to split along the stitching line, too many perferations i think,if you have to take it off to re stitch this site might be worth a look. www.carhood.com/tvr.htm
I dont think theres any difference between a griff/chim roof

I've ended up going to :

Hubbards UPholsterers
Cumberland Road
Loughborough
01509 267166
07970 267747

Ask for Mark

He's charging £260 to supply and fit new rear window, and repair the stitching - window in 40 thou gauge, rather than 30 thou thats on - apparently some Gerry Co that builds some sort of 4x4 and also Boxes and Carriers make it ! (think thats what he said about the Germans anyway)
