Griffith 500 v 997s

Had a 997s 'follow'
me out of Wakefield this afternoon and he pushed me all the way...not sure if he could have passed, given enough room I guess he could. Think at one stage he got the drop on me gear wise, but all in all not a bad indication that the Griff is where it should be powerwise. Unless he was holding back

Nah, nitrons on my P&J, and very, very bumpy roads. I couldn't believe how much more speed the 997 could take through, compared to mine. We're talking more (5+ car lengths) than I can make up in the straights.
Should also be noted that I've had the car less than a month, and I'm still learning it, and getting faster. But I have to say the cabin of the porker is a very calm place to be.

I once had a run with a 996 C4S. My standard Chimaera 400 was pretty much equal on the straight, but as we approached a bend, i slowed a litte, but the 996 just disappeared round it.
Would still choose my Chimaera over the Porshce though!

you could not keep up with a 996 on the long right hander at V max, its not your car that can't keep up its you.
a standard 996 handles shite, come on jsr must do better

My Chimaera was handling pretty shite at the time too! Suspension has been upgraded since then to a more confidence inspiring level. Reckon the Porsche driver had all his electronic aids on though!
