Taken with a cameraphone so not the best of quality but they'll do for now!

Very Slippery Takeoff - Spinning wheels in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a bit of 4th yikes - Really surprised how loud the pops & bangs are on the overrun even at 3/4 of a mile away!

That sounds amazing, Nick. Would love to know what it sounds like inside, so you'll have to take me for a spin on Sunday. We'll have to put you near the front of the convoy now so those following can get the full experience.

Has John sent you the maps for Sunday? The evo triangle is included morning and afternoon!! Should give those new bits a good workout then!!

you've got plenty of courage to speed on a wet road with a chimera...

you've got a sharper cam or it's just a streight through exhaust?

Yeah I was keeping a close eye on the car given that it was a little slippery! It was only drizzle though so no puddles to send things into a spin & was done on a clear empty road so I could gently back off rather than brake and risk losing traction. I never used full throttle either as it wasn't really possible in the conditions so wasn't too bad really!

The exhaust is a full ACT system from Tim consisting of his decat stainless sports manifolds, decat small diameter stainless Y-Piece and full stainless downpipes with twin Cherrybombs in place of the back box. The cam is an MC1 which gives around a 20bhp gain whilst retaining a nice smooth idle and seems to have smoothed the power out a lot too. It used to have a rather large pickup at around 4k whereas now it tends to pull consistantly through the rev range and generally suits the car a lots more IMHO. Then I just have some of Tims carbon fibre superflare trumpets on a modified base and the full ACT induction kit which has made it rev much more freely. All in all it feels fantastic at the moment and just needs a remap to tune the whole lot up a bit before I start on the handling!

Paul, you're welcome to come out for a blast whenever! Its a fair bit louder inside now but in a good way On the motorway however, it sits nicely at 2k revs and stays fairly quiet until you give it the slightest hint of right foot, though with the stereo on, its still fine to cruise in long distance...

Sounds great but TBH that doesn't sound any better than the £100 Austec perforated pipe replacements... would the standard modified exhaust with the rest of the upgrades achieve the same sort of power and delivery?

i have your very same act decatted exhaust set up and tim's new headers, but i kept the back stock muffler...it sounds similar to your exhaust, just not as loud.

She sounds fantastic Nick, I see you've been putting some work into her, But are you Mad enough to be a front runner. Can you keep up with Mad John! roflCan you take on the Fuzz like Brummie Wedge at 130 and just get a slap on the wrist.shoot Yeah, I think i'll stay further down the line, see you at the back Mate.

You'll need CC's, De-cats, and the rear back box removing to get it to sound like that.
^^^^^ this is our plan bounce

Thanks Neil, yeah there has been a fair bit of work done on it! Not sure about being a front runner just yet, but managed to keep up with you last time so maybe I should just move up a few places on the next run?? ...until we get to a corner...

Yes it is loud to the point of bordering on the ridiculous, but every morning no matter what my mood, I start it up and hear *that* noise and just think - damn I love this car! Wouldn't swap it for the world cloud9
