Another big thumbs up to TopCats!
Discussion
Recently got my Cerbera back from Topcats after diagnosing and fixing a number of annoying 'features'. Only dropped it off 2 days earlier and expected not to get it back for at least a week - they got the jobs done in double quick time, and for a price far far less than the main dealers would have charged, with the kind of service and courtesy that is sadly missing from many of those establishments.
So anyone still searching for a good independent, heres another vote for those ‘top cats’!
Cheers,
Tommomic
ps. This is not an sponsored ad. for these guys, simply a very satisfied customer whose finally found someone he can trust to care for his Precious!

Out of interest what sort of annoying faults did they sort for you - engine/machanical related, trim etc. - Just curious as my car has a few said annoying niggles and I would be interested to hear if they can fix pretty much anything, or if their focus is on go-faster related parts as I would expect from a racing team.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
Chris
Where are TopCats?
I am still looking for somewhere within reach of Huddersfield (home) or close to Manchester (work) to trust with mechanical work and/or body work. You mentioned a bodywork specialist that has done all the upgrade work on your Cerbera but when I tried the link from your website it was blank?!
Cheers.

The place where I got the light conversions done is www.team-proactive.co.uk (ex. main dealer Team Central). They are the right side of Birmingham for you, and also can give you a courtesy car (not quite a like for like replacement though!).
Other place worth trying (but a bit of a drag for you) is the www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk near Bristol.
I've heard many good things of Joolz (Chesterfield) and SFR (Stockport), which are good locals for you.
Cheers,
Tommo
Thanks guys... hmm, think Aylesbury and Bristol may be a bit far, but SFR sounds interesting.. if they don't mind doing the non-exciting every day bits and pieces. I have neither the knowledge nor the patience to risk DIY!!!
I can't believe that with this amount of history and following that i can't find a decent TVR knowledgable mechanic and bodyshop in the whole of West Yorkshire!
On another note - what is the best workshop manual for a Griffith, i.e. easy to understand so I can at least attempt the little jobs now and again!
Ta!

I'm sure there is somebody in that area. Last time I checked, Ian Bannister was the RO in that area so give him a call maybe he can advise.I know a few people have been lucky enough to pursuade Ian to work on their cars (if you have seen the superb condition of Ian's sprint car you would appreciate how lucky they are) but I'm sure there are others, no doubt Ian can advise.
