response to starting the engine

couple responses recently made me smile

1. setting off the car alarm of the car parked behind me

2. couple teenagers walking past just as I fire up "f***ing hell"

and mine is still standard loud....

Yep, guy at petrol station at pump next to me in a Merc convertible. 'What a beautiful sound'.

Visted a mate a weekend.... when leaving his neighbours 3 doors up came out to see what all the noise was

We often get Chinooks flying low over our house. First time I started up the Griff after bringing it home, 3 neighbours opened their doors, stepped outside and peered skywards!

Then the guy two doors down started up his carbon-canned CBR 600 and revved it in mechanical symphony. Beautiful.

The last contract I had, I was banned from/requested not to park in the main carpark as the Chimmy shook the building when I arrived.

2 Guys walking past the back of the car, I started up, they jumped (quite literally) the did that nervous laugh as if to say that did not scare me at all, however there eyes told a differnet story - they were scared S**tless.

I'd put a bet on them needing an underwear change.

The other was;

Been to grave yard to put flowers on family grave, strtaed the car to leave - unfortunatley there was a funeral going on - as I started the whole group of people looked - with a joint look of disgust (sorry !!)
