Anyone ever measured coil resistance??
Discussion
On my Chim, which is suffering in the heat at present, I have done some diags this afternoon to try and trace the fluffy performance. The coil secondary resistance according to the bible should be 7500 ohms to 9500 ohms. Mine is 5800 ohms. The primary is ok, at 1.2 ohms. Could this be my problem? There are no signs of leaking oil from the coil, but my god, the car hates heat at the moment. Right from fire up, it's pants.
To answer your question, no I havn't.
Having re-read your other posts, I would change the coil next.
I would go out & measure the resistance on my coil now for you, but Mrs Big Dunc is due home any minute. If she finds me in the garage with the little people ( asleep ) in the house, she won't be impressed!!
