Hi
having just bought a Chimaera, and it being my first serious sports car (and the fact that I don't want to pile the car into a hedge), can anyone recommend any good tuition days/instructors? I live near Taunton in Somerset. I expect this subject has been done to death but any advice is always welcome as I don't want to get ripped off!!!
THanks as usual you very helpful people!

Yep, do a search on here for Ride Drive. They have instructors all over the country, and they're excellent. thumbup

We did ours with Madcop, it was great! Learned loads. smile

Another thumbs up for RideDrive, just make sure you get a good nights sleep beforehand, and start with a halfday if you're unsure.

I have a day with ride drive booked for the beginning of next month, one of the advanced handling courses or some-such...

part of the day is on the roads, part on an airfield (which is the bit im looking forward to!)

you apparently get a discount on your insurance with adrian flux on completing the course too (not that I have a policy with them though)

I will be posting a mini review once I have done the course!

I've done 2 Ride Drive's and it is a brilliant day out and transforms your approach to driving / making progress.

Did the advanced course last month including the hour on a airfield in in p*ssing rain. Hitting a puddle on a corner doing 110mph, spinning a number of times........ was quite fun, once i realised i wasn't going to completely trash my car!

Also Adrian Flux just beat my renewal quote my 25% saving me £230 on my insurance. So in my case the course plays for itself within 2 years.

Do it!
