I have just fitted a set in the last hour, piss easy to fit and work very well well worth the money, and they look neater than the old ones.

Can heartily vouch for the Leven ones having fitted them to both my Chims.

Not sure how good the cheaper ones are, interested to find out though.

So am I correct in thinking that the ebay ones are essentially a rubber blade and support that clip into the existing wiper arms, then push the existing tube into the connector on the new blade/support, whereas the leven type are the same thing but also come with new wiper arms as well.

After last nights experience something better than the current standard fit arrangement is definitely required.

The ones on ebay are very good, easy to fit and look a lot better.

Yes you are correct. I just fitted a set of the ones off ebay and they are very good. However I would say that both blades are 17" whereas my originals were 15" on the nearside and 16" offside. The nearside blade could do with being shorter as I think in time it might score the rubber trim round the windscreen.

Hmm... I was supposed to put them on last week, but didn't want to get saturated - put them on just now and then the heavens opened - Bugger!

Anyhow, they are much neater, the spray works well but they have the same probem as my last set (the orginals) - it leaves a grapefruit sized smear right in the line of sight of the driver - this was the orginal reason I replaced them.

So, great, they're neater; they don't work any better and they also wipe a few mm over the top of the windscreen onto the rubber - time will tell if this is a problem.

If you want neat buy a pair (they're just a cheap pair of blades with a reservoir superglued on + some tubing).
