It is a water born disease suffered by all those with TVR's confined to the garage due to persistent bad weather?

Now desperate for a spin,, but 5 more days of rain to come!

Think it must be my fault it's raining cos mine lives outside, is my daily transport and we've not had much dry weather since I got her.

Nevermind, at least I'm learning how to drive her in the wet, deal with her steaming up and how best to keep the footwells dry!

Be brave, go driving!

Get out there and drive !!!!!

Daily hack too, with no leaks or traction issues. Just make sure you have good tyres and most importantly the loud peddle is not an on and off switch...........

It may go up to 11 but there are many more numbers getting there !!!!!

Don't go though any big puddles like I did though. Now have a shorted out stepper motor and stepper motor circuit in ECU burnt out!

I agree... GET OUT THERE! driving

Mine's also a daily driver and I never have any problems with traction unless i'm looking for them... I think the whole 'be scared of it because its a TVR and will leak, spin and kill you in the wet' is a load of crap - its as dangerous as you want it to be IMHO and if you're sensible with them, they're absolutely fine in all weathers, even snow and ice!

In fact, if its still wet in the evenings when its still light and very quiet, it can be bloody good fun! - Really easy to slide and drift in and out of junctions etc wink

I've got advanced tvritis & haven't had one for 3 months frown

I used to love commuting along the A3 because I would always see a tiv. Now it's much worse because whenever I see one I regret selling mine.

Mine is a daily driver and seems perfectly fine in the wet as long as you have a little self control on bendy bits. Go and enjoy yourself.

That means going and hunting down my roof panel!

Also getting really sick of waiting for a decent spell of weather - I used mine more through winter!

me too, I drive the beast all weathers - just means it needs a wash more often! It looked more like a rally car covered in mud when it left the goodwood carpark last sat. It's only a car after all, you bought it to drive not look at ;-)

(actually I think im quite sad as doo spend too much time looking at it at as well, cant walk off the drive in the morning without a sneaky glance or 2....)

Get out and drive it, hey I'm a girl, only had mine 2 weeks live in the country next door to a farm, muddy wet lanes and I drive mine whatever the weather. Just remember to be sensible with the loud pedal on bends and roundabouts when its wet and be prepared for the screen steaming up. Get out and enjoy it, they're too lovely to leave sat in a garage or on the drive doing nothing.

Stupidly large smile now on face!

Went out for a couple of hours this afternoon, took some friends out for a spin, they are now also sporting silly smiles.

I've done a good 10 hours driving in my Chim over the last few days, all in the pouring rain frown To give the old girl credit, she behaved impeccably - no leaks, no sudden spins - unlike one poor chap on the A370 yesterday wink

Car out in the rain yesterday for the event at Jenny Wren and did it stop some fantastic cars going there, did it hell. Car handled like a dream on the way back in what was one hell of a down pour on the M62. Cars where made to be driven not sat inside like some pampered poodle, so get them out rain, snow or shine.

PS. Sorry to any PH poodles out there. wink
