Give him a break, he could be genuinely interested... b'sides, your car will look great with Argos seat covers, extended pedals, gold inlayed tissue box on parcel shelf and worry beads on the rear view mirror. Not to mention the pumping sounds you normally expect during Friday night Tikka Masala time.yum

Sorry, I may have just consigned this thread to the sin bin!redcard

This is the classic Nigerian car scam. If you want to know more, or even have some fun at their expense take a look here: http://www.419eater.com/index.htm

String him along. Tell him a cheque will be fine. He'll come back to you and say he's owed 5 grand more than you're asking by someone in the Uk. You will then receive a dodgy gregory for the 5 k more than you are asking and he will ask you to send the balance to him via wire transfer. You can have hours of fun.

Better still tell him your car is sold but you know where there is a similar one. Tell him to email Mr sear at incinsear@yahoo.com for details. I'll take it from there. evil

To keep you up to date, the muppet has followed up just like you guys said, take a look....................

Hello ,

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus,i hope all is well with you overthere. Thanks for your mail, and I belive you truely have it for sale and I have also decided to get it for 11,000 and I don't mind the Bank Draft having to clear before I get the keys to the car

Because my client in uk that is oweing me £15,000 is ready to the money in full but i'll need you to wired the balance of my moneys through Money Gram Transfer to my Shipping Agent That will be handling the shipping the car to my house in Ireland so we can pay the shipping agency for the shipping so they can book us for the next available cargo.

So i want you to know if I can trust you on sending the remaining balance to my Shipper through Money Gram Transfer, because my client in the UK will be sending a certified Bank Draft for £15,000 to you. Hope you understand this
clearly.

To start with the procurement of the bank cheque,I will need the followiing info from you:
Your full name to be written on the Bank draft........
Your house address in order to recieve the bank draft payment soonest....
City.........
Post Code.......
Country..... Land/mobile phone.....

Hope to hear from you soon so that we can plan ahead receiving payment. Note that I'll make arrangement with the shipping company to send an agent to view the car at your convienience.

Kindly Regards,

Wahab.

OK reply to him that the deal sounds good but you have some bad news. Due to a local Tornado in Hobnobshire the car was damaged. Everything is OK with it except the leather is torn. You have therefore had to replace the seats with deckchairs.

See if he replies saying no problem he would still like to proceed - if so make up some even more bizarre damage and see how long you can string him along for smile

Right the F*****S having it both barrels, how about...........................

My dearest fiend, sorry for the delay in replying to your last email, as i was outsided polishing the car for you when from nowhere the entire contents of a Boing 747's chemical toilet landed in the car, thus it has ruined all the leather and the carpets, (as we live directly under a major flight path this does tend to happen quite often, 3 -5 times this year) however all is now ok as i have managed fit some black and green stripy deckchairs and i must say they look fantastic, hope this ok, regards.
