Austec Re-Map - Highly Recommended
Discussion
I've just got back from having my 3.6 T350c re-mapped by Paul at Austec. It's taken me nearly 2 1/2 hours to do a 50 minute journey home. I was hoping to take longer but any more detours and I'd have ended up in Scotland !.
The re-map has made a huge difference to the driveability of the car. It's much smoother & quicker, sounds better and has given me up to 20bhp and 20 lb/ft extra, but the gains are noticeable throughout the rev range. In particular the car is now much more responsive below 4k revs - previously the engine only started to wake up around the 4k mark.
This is the second re-map I've had at Austec (Chim 500 was re-mapped previously) and this is the second time I've been hugely impressed with the results. On both ocassions peak power didn't change much (up 3bhp today and up 3bhp on the Chim 500), but the peak numbers don't even begin to tell the story.
Next up is a de-cat in a couple of weeks.

Congrats Simon I will have to talk you into giving me a spin out sometime to introduce me to the Speed 6 experience!
The Wedge is doing fine, getting ready for BBWF at the end of month. Found a Rolling road in Walderslade which is very good a seem very knowledgeable about V8's. Got 203bhp at the wheels which is not bad for a 350i so seems healthy enough!
All the best

Cant comment on any others, but I have been to see Dave Davis at Autocraft SVE in Salisbury, and my experience was top notch. Professional, and were more than happy to toil away on the 390SE (in spite of it having a slight hissyfit about being rolling roaded: these cars have got soul!), even though their workshop was full of Tuscans, Tamoras and other Speed 6 exotica.
