Meta immobiliser problem

Help needed, I have a 1997 Chim 450, it had a front end prang and has been off the reoad for 12 months while being repaired, anyone any good ideas of how to treat a meta system when you are re starting after a period of no power?, also in the event that the whole think needs to be replaced, has anyone any good sources of new kit and any ideas how to identify which one is fitted to my chim ?- all help greatfully accepted, cant get the thing back on the road after spending a fortune repairing it !!!
