Yes.

And now you come to mention it, I never actually got the report off him for the car I bought, so I can't tell you anything about his written reports!

I originally intended to use him just for an inspection on a car I had found, but when he inspected it, he told me he knew of a better one, so I ended up paying his finding fee. Very fairly, he only charged for one inspection, but then I never got the report anyway. Mind you, I never chased him for it.

I'm very happy with the car he found for me. I had spent about three months looking seriously, after a further three months just browsing, and the car he came up with was in a completely different league from the half dozen or so others I had seen.

I've recently had to have bushes and bearings done (should pick the car up today), which Rob didn't mention. BUT, when I bought the car it had 27k on the clock, and now has 34! so I'm certain everything was fine when he inspected it, and its the mileage I've put on thats resulted in the problems I've had recently.

I always put everything to do with the car into the log in 'My Cars', so if you click on my name, and click on the car, you'll see everything I've had to do with ti since I bought it.

Do a search on Rob's name in the forum... several people have used his services, and from what I recall it has all been favourable...

Yep

Used Rob. Picking the car up today.

Been happy so far as he seems to have found me a mint yellow 450. I was os eager to get one, I couldnt sit back and leave him to do all the searching so I bombarded him with ones I found in the classifieds and phoned/mailed every couple of days.

Noted about the report - will make sure I ask him. Probably dont need to now as he is often on the board!

Off to carch the train now!

Another vote for Rob. I used him earlier this year for a detailed inspection on a Chim I was interested in buying.
Good quick service - an excellent report with coloured photos e-mailed to me within 24 hours.
I bought the car on the strength of his report - 5 months later I am still smiling with no problems to date so reckon he knew what he was looking at.
I would strongly recommend you use his services.

Yep top chap,

Found my car for me, negotiated an excellent price and have enjoyed the car ever since. although he did miss a sticking caliper.

I also telephoned him about cars i had found and always seemed interesed and not dismissive. Will certainly use him again.

My only experience was that I called him to ask if he wanted my Griff when it was for sale. I left telephone messages and an email but he did not reply.

So either he was on vacation or he considered my Griff a dog.

Yes. And I would have no hesitation in recommending Rob, whatever TVR you are after. He checked out in the most comprehensive way my Tuscan recently and took a great deal of anxiety out of the buying process. Plus, he's a real nice guy too!

Same thing here. I even sent him a proforma spreadsheet for him to fill in just after I got the car. I have e-mailed him about six times, tex him, talked to him on the phone, even saw him (at Rockingham) and reminded him! He's good, but not that good - and going down in my estimation now.

He helped me buy my Griff. I had no idea wot to look for, so he certainly helped me. I would say money well spent.
