Car goes into TVR power for the day on Wednesday and Im going to be hanging around with not a lot to do. Any suggestions for solo fun and excitement in Cov for the day?

Cheers

Having recently been dragged to a meeting there, I'd have to agree with the sentiment above.

Another vote for the Transport Museum or alternatively just sit in the main shopping centre - there's bound to be a fight on or shoplifting/arrest etc.

The locals are very considerate and always put on a show for visitors - might even let you take part as well punch

There's a half decent cafe just up the road - does a lovely bacon sarni and mug of tea at a very reasonable price.

Other than that get yourself a book and hunker down for the duration.

I did this last year whilst waiting for my 1000 mile service. The most boring day of my life. The transport musueum only kills a few hours, the shops are like an other town - ended up buying Clarkson's book and reading it in Pizzaland on a meal deal.

You can't even drink yikes

get out of there.

I spent a night in the Formual One hotel there once (not through choice!) only hotel Ive stayed in where the silver pressed foil ash trays were nailed to the tables in the bedroom yuccchh.

Still the Specials were form there and produced one of the best songs evere recorded Ghost Town

Whoops that says it all.......................

Crikey, you guys are painting a fine image of Coventry! our S Club meeting is at the transport museum. So should I be worried by the public looking around our cars?

When the Luftwaffe flattened Coventry it should have stayed like that!

Just stay at TVR Power.

I go to uni there, these people speak the truth...

Transport museum if you must (though I think its a waste of time personally) and then get out of there as soon as possible.

dont be to hard on us ,remember the people looking after your car will be from coventry, but probarbly best to stay out of the city centre if you dont know the place,
5 min taxi ride; showcase cinema, bowling etc(that sort of sh1t)
ricoh arena shopping
10 min taxi ride;city centre(if your brave,he he)cov cathederal
memorial park
city centre art gallery

there are some good drinking holes but not worth it for 1 beer plus its a wednesday daytime so prob not open
v sorry but theres not much more for a wednesday(or any other day )
some good eating places on the outskirts, shilton arms, rose and castle at ansty or if you want to go posh the hilton or better still nailcote hall,
dont despair you will be ok
