Hi guys,

I'm using my Chim as one of the wedding cars this weekend (I get to drive the groom to his fate).

Does anyone have a pic of how best to attach the ribbon so it looks good?

I have assume it will go from the bonnet hinge by the nose up the bonnet but then not sure where to attach it to next for the best looking effect.

Many thanks
James smile

Don't. It will mark the paint. Anyone who hires out wedding cars will tell you that and you will see that the paint is marked on them anyway.

Hmmm...I'm kinda committed already, so it's got to be done and anyway, it's only for a short time....

Used my old Chim to drive myself to my Wedding. Attached the ribbon to the number plate, then attached to the metal strip on each door, the one that drops vertically from the top of the pillar (hope that makes sense). If its not 'top off' weather, then probably trapping it in the roof/windsreen seal might be an option... No digi photos to show unfortunately.

A few of us used our cars for PHer Nuggs's wedding last year. Mostly we took the ribbon, tied round the driver's side sunvisor bracket, out between the door window glass and windscreen frame, down to the front grill/centre bar (on a cerb anyways) and back up to the passenger's side sun visor smile

Aha, managed to dig up some old pictures (including some real beauts of Nuggsy as a young, ginger nipper hehe)

Hopefully you can see what Im talking about smile (ETA: If you take the roof off you can take the ribbon up and over the windscreen smile)

I used my Chim for my wedding and ended up tying one end onto the sun visor, out the window (roof on) and down to the number plate. I looped it around itself so it ended in a point at the nose. Then back to the other sun visor.
