Been phoning around a couple of dealers local to me, trying to get hold of a new front and rear badge (which seem to be like hens teeth) but to no-avail.
What was interesting was that both parties informed me that if I have no luck in finding said parts, that if I can wait until the end of September they will be getting a full itinerary of parts from the factory ????
So when I questioned them further, it appears that production of new cars will start within 2 months in the American factory, and that 90% of the components are in place and engines are ready to be shipped from Britain to the US.
So more TVR BS or are they preparing to start production again ???????

Could be some truth in truth in that - but nothing has been announced yet

I had heard a very similar story myself - so lets hope.

With regards to parts, TVR have recently signed up with a major multi-national parts supplier, so new parts for all models should start coming through in the next couple of months. The good thing about this is that TVR will have nothing to do with the parts as such. The parts will be sourced, paid for, stored and sold all by the said parts supplier with, I guess, TVR getting a percentage of all parts sold.

The supplier currently has this arrangement with quite a few other manufacturers and AFAIK has been a successful tie-up.

Lets hope the future is a bit brighter.........

I can't remember the name, I'm sure it was multi-something? As said, apparently they are a huge company in their own right.

I heard it from someone involved with TVR, and I can't think that they would BS over something like that.

How is that different to when Blackpool existed, they made a lot of the parts, particularily on later cars and could charge what they wanted for them anyway?

If they do it this way it does mean they will have to get their act together with part numbers though. There won't be any of this "how many holes has your one got then" type parts supply.

As for supplying parts for existing cars, just because any "new" cars might look like the old ones, it doesn't mean they will be built anything like existing ones under the skin.

Yep, I was told each and every part would be given a proper catalogue code and then your order would simply be processed by a part number or numbers. I would assume that all the dealers will be given copies of the catalogue's to ensure that they know the new parts numbers too.

Would be quite handy if we could all get a PDF of it too.

Have you given Leven a ring about your badges?

sorry but that's all I've got any inclination to add to any thread concerning the resurection of TVR because put bluntly I'll believe it when I see it

So Moleskins has finally given up on Bertone as the production facility, has he? rolleyes

More complete and total BS from him and his cronies, IMHO. I'm more likely to believe what's written in the new Harry Potter book than the crap spouted by the current TVR regime..........

I take your point, but now we are talking about an outfit which is not interested in selling you a new car so they will care even less about pricing and will therefore have an insentive to milk the market for all it is worth, at least in the short term. Where was that thread on equivalent part numbers lol... We have to hope they are on a fixed margin deal, and that TVR don't take too much of a percentage. I wonder where the TVR money will go? I don't even understand who owns the business anymore - administrators?

Yes more BS!

American factory?? They dont have one! lol..They cant afford one either

All the more smoke and mirrors. Dont hold your breath on what you hear. Its not the TVR dealers fault as they get fed the same sh*t...most dont believe it but report what they hear.

The engines will be produced by Ricardo, the bodyshells by some outfit in China and the people that build the Nobles will be screwing it all together.
