No, that's the metallic.
Looks a bit too grey for my liking, the perlescent is a lot darker when you see them next to each other.

But it's not as black as Jet.

But that's not the Pearlescent one either!

Are you thinking of Carbon Black Pearlescent? (mind you that one looks blue to me....)

Looks something like this

Edited to add "well that's a cr@p photo to add, d'oh!!!"

Nope. It's a TVR colour.
At Castle Michael showed us 3 colour samples, Moonraker, the pearlescent one and Nebula black.

(Used Ed Hassler's car as a reference for the Moonraker as well)

The Perlescent has less silvery flecks in it than moonraker and when the samples were held together it looks a lot more black.
Not sure it would go with anthracite wheels as well as moonraker though.

The Nebula black is just mad.

"The reason I'm having so much trouble flying this ship is because it's black. The walls are black, the floor is black, the console is black, the switches are black, the labels are little black letters printed on a black background, and when you press anything, a black light lights up in black to tell you you've done it."

Beanno500 sounds like you've fallen into a 'Black Hole'! Do you find that you're getting denser and denser, in the scientific sense of course not in an intelligence sense.

Another question though.
Where does Carbon Black fit into this in terms of blackness?
I assume this is the BMW colour? Is it darker than Moonraker, I know it's not as black as Mystic.

While on the subject of blacks, on a visit to the factory during 'Back Home', I noticed some tuscan body parts in a black with multi-coloured glitter in it type colour. Does anyone know what this colour is called?

Roy.

That's Nebula Black.
Bit too glittery for me. Pretty dramatic though it loses the "evilness" that you normally get with black.

IIRC that's the "Nebula"

Edited 'cos Mark got there first.

Shall we move this thread on to drying properties? Only on PH could we have debates about paint drying and then specialise by colour

Well, could you or anyone explain to me what exactly "pearlescent" means?

I believe it translates as "costs another £725"!
