Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service are holding their 8th annual open day this Sunday 12th August at Wisbech Fire Station in aid of the Fire Services Benevolent Fund and have invited TVR owners along to have a static display and hopefully attract more visitors to the day.

There is plenty to do including a drink-drive simulator car where you can put on special goggles to see the affects alcohol can have on a driver, Vivienne - Wisbech's veteran fire engine - a Land Rover rollover experience where you can see what it feels like to be in an overturning car, an Elvis impersonator and a jazz band. Also Fire-fighters will do a couple of demonstrations involving a chip pan fire and a smoke-filled room.

The day will start at 11am with a car boot sale and will run until about 3pm"

They have a reserved area for the TVRs on the entrance road to the station, so we can come and go as we please but have asked if all TVR owners wishing to go along arrive before 11am so they get us set up before the public arrives.

Is anyone interested in going along ?
