I have a 97 Chim and the back light cover has come off due to some what looks like bad sealer. could anyone tell me what the best black sealer to use as i dont want this happening again lucky for me this time I see it hanging off and took it off in time but next time knowing my luck it will be on the motorway somewhere where I have no chance of getting it back.

cheers
Paul

black mastick / windscreen bond, available from any decent paint shop. Sticks like the proverbial to a blanket.

It is called Sikoflex. Go to a proper car parts place, don't think Halfrauds sell it.

Sikaflex 291 is what you want. Found at any boat chandlers and there's one nearer to you than you think . About £10.

I generally use Dow Corning 791 from builders merchants, pretty much the same stuff as the Sikoflex, as has been said sticks like the proverbial and comes in useful for sealing and sticking all sorts! Screw fix will do it for under £5 but it then costs another fiver to deliver it frown
