TVRs should be class A drugs. once bitten...........
the expression 'watertight' must have been unknown at the factory - don't care
it has the only LCD display i've ever heard of which needs to warm up before i can see it - don't care
the gearstick gets hotter than my kitchen's ceramic hob - don't care
driver's window doesn't meet the rubber seals properly - don't care
you know your wallet's going to take a proper beating at some point - don't care
i could go on, but you get the picture.

I'm giving up
237 BHP - per tonne figure?
9,000 RPM - = No Torque
6 Speed 'box = Even less torque
Reliability = Yeah yeah yeah heard it all before
Air Con = Take the roof off
Electric Roof = How stupid will you look when it goes wrong at the traffic lights
Dry Cabin = Thompsons WaterSeal
Dual Airbags = Don't Crash
Xenon Headlights = Replacement blub, how much!!!
ABS = Learn to brake properly
Great decision

I've had 4 litre cars before in various guises (see my profile) and I did look at 450's and 500's this time round but I wanted to give myself somewhere to go performance-wise in the future.
Also this particular car already had a set of Nitrons fitted so I opted for a good example of the great all-rounder 4.0

Next door but one to me have just got rid of their S2000.
When I got my Chim next door b o said that, nice though my car is, she could not stand the costs of repair. So the obvious question as to why they swopped their ultra-reliable S2000 for an S-reg Merc 280SL was cost of ownership. Servicing beggared them, evidently. To the question of what had gone wrong with my Chim, I mentioned having to clean the stepper and, oddly, having to swop two relays over.
I know it is childish, but it gave me a kick.
Mind you, the Honda's a superb machine and I must admit to liking it. I just prefer my Chim.
