Just got my Cerbera back from Thames Valley Racetech, and its got to be another big thumbs up for the independents in the Oxford/Berks/Bucks region. I recently also used the services of TopCats and rate them both very highly. Different approaches but both with an excellent service that beat the main dealers I have used hands down.

This was a bit of a panic job, as the starter motor had started to play up - only occasionally but enough to be a worry as I'm off to Le Mans this week. Booked it into Thames Valley Racetech as they are close to my work (and to try them out), and am very impressed by their professionalism, thoroughness and price.

They argued my corner with Warranty Holdings, as WH were not going to pay out until the starter had completely gone - great! Managed to get a brand new unit from TVR (pretty rare things at the moment I believe) and a heat shield fitted in double quick time. Only extra was the shortfall of labour that WH wouldn’t pay for (they only pay labour up to £36.75 ex. VAT!).

I must say was a bit unsure of using Thames Valley after reading the comments on here of the departure of Steve Howard. As I never used them before I cant comment on the change, I can only say that I will be using them again in the future - very impressed. Good to know there are 2 excellent outfits I can now call upon.

Cheers,
Tommo

I'll second that...

Took my Cerb there a few weeks ago as they knew my car from a previous owner. Excellent service, took good care and spotted things on the car that another garage had, lets say, cut a few corners on!!

Also put a sports exhaust on, what a difference!!
