I've found that one of my local independent dealers can supply Proxes at about half the price of my TVR dealer. Has there been any indication of price for these new TVR Toyos?

I was quoted £400 for a complete, fitted set of Toyo's for my non PAS Griff 500. Certainly cheaper than Bridgestones!!!

Not really cheaper than the last time I bought some Bridgestones which cost me about £400 for the set from Micheldever tyres. (For a non-PAS Griff).

Normally, you get what you pay for. Until TVR switched to Toyo, they were not held in very high regard among TVR owners.

Just ordered a pair 225/50/15 for 85 +vat etc each. £12 cheaper than the bridgstones. Wait to see how good they are.

true, true, the SO 2 was the daddy but now we have the SO 3 and I find not so true, it didn't work on the Griff, my local tyre garage still has a set of SO3s on the shelf returned by an irate Porsche owner who did not like em, and they were very average on the Saab (I was glad once they wore out)
The Toyo is a good tyre and at a good price, but, some people swear by the SO 3 on the track

When I had the Griff I ended up with SO3 on the front and S02 on the back. I must say I thought the S03 were an improvement over the s02 they replaced. Seemed to turn in a bit better and tramline a bit less. Then again I had std wheels unlike those huge great tractor jobbies on your Griff Pete
