Kids with bikes I reckon - nicked all 4 dust-caps whilst I was parked up having a pizza with the family....rolleyes

Not a big deal but would prefer to replace them with what was originally on there - the silver domed ones - rather than any spinners or lockable caps (rather they took the caps than slashed the tyres cause they couldn't get the caps off....). Any recommendations as to where to get hold of them or should I just nip down to the nearest halfrauds?

Cheers in advance,

Andy

I wouldn't bother with locking ones. The ones with the little grub screws can still be got off and damage the threads on the valve. The flasher locking ones with a spanner usually end up with the whole valve been damaged. Just use cheap ones and have some spares. I've seen some chrome ones at shows quite cheap but these look ok on ebay

I bought a set of TVR logo'd ones on Fleabay a while back (in fact, I bought a spare set just in case, luckily not had to use the spares yet). Werent expensive IIRC smile

Just had mine knicked as well. Hope this isn't a new trend.

Will have to go to Halfrauds at the weekend.

rofl just got back from a spin out and about to about 6 "replies to your postings" emails....Sen18 - I couldn't agree more, orf with their heads! hehe

Nah, it's not a big deal and I think it is just kiddies wanting to put some nice shiny caps on their bikes but it is frustrating, to say the least. I bought a really cheap set from Halfords which will do fine for now, couldn't see the point in spending a load of cash on flash or spinning ones - if they get nicked again then I've only lost a couple of quid.

I dunno, what is the world coming to eh!?

Cheers all thumbup

Cheers in advance,
Do you mean kids or nice valve caps?

If the latter then Halfrauds, or your local tyre dealer, or demon tweaks, or tvrparts.com I bought a very nice set from TVRCC, but it was a long time ago, so I cannot remember price or even know whether they still sell them.

If the former then string them up by..... Actualy don't, you will get arrested. Its nearly as bad as speeding you know
