I have just taken my car into David Geralds in Worcester for an annual service and i have been informed that next week in the UK there will be a meeting regarding TVR. He has been informed that a bunch of people from America will be attending as well. He is fairly confident that after 18 months of knowing nothing that TVR will be coming back.

I realize people think - o yeah etc but it does looking more promising now!!

Isn't this a little bit like what was posted back in June from someone who had received a letter from Drivestyle in Harrogate:

"Just received a letter from Drivestyle about some offers, but it also says

"I am assured this week that a positive announcement re future production of TVR is imminent." "

Drivestyle seem subsequently to be so confident that they then took on a Lotus and an MG franchise!

TVR aren't coming back under the present owners. Or should I say they might come back though in name only. I wait patiently for the current owners to admit defeat and allow sale of the assets and name to a company who understand what TVR stands for. Until then we can be sure the only cars produced if any will be nothing like TVR's of old. Just my opinion but having heard what's gone on it can't be far from the truth.

I don't see any one giving NS the money he'd want for what is now essentially a badge.

Quite right, but I don't see them having sufficient turnover to repay their investment anyway, they'll just keep pi55ing away money trying to make deals. I'm quietly hopeful that they will be bankrupted and without fiddling thing so they can buy back this time. Then the intellectual property and hardware will go to auction again, and this time for far less money.
