Ah so that's why there are all those queues at Northern Rock banks - everyone is getting their deposits sorted - NOT.

I realize after 18 months of nothing that people are pi**sed off but i have been told by a dealer that there are 2 meetings this week regarding the progress of the manufacturing side in the UK. A group of Americans are arriving along with other people to do with TVR.
I have already posted this comment on here last week and have been told via email not to disclose the locations and dates of these meetings as TVR are trying to keep it a secret - guess they dont want people turning up and telling the truth!!

Strange that the meetings are held in the UK whilst they attempt to move assembly away from the UK.

Hmm not trying to cause a false impression by any chance?

Meeting on Wednesday.

Looking at the worldwide market as they seem to be, the damaged brand probably only exists in the UK, guess thats were they think they need to apply the sticking plasters.

what did he do wrong?

he bought a company that was about to go bankrupt, and if any businessman is not making money here, its natural to move abroad to make money....business.

for TVR to be a success...he needs to make money...no point him carrying on here if you are not making money.

and i think he did help it out too....more reliable than previous cars with release of tuscan 2 and sagaris

give the dude a chance

Good grief man do you really think your belief in the honesty and integrity of Nikolai will change people's opinion? He's an arse. Would you buy a car off him? I certainly wouldn't.

Time will heal things, current owners will finally cut and run again leaving employees, customers and suppliers well stuffed (nobody to blame but themselves for choosing to do business with him) and this time a brit will buy the name back and start making cars we can actually have faith in.

He bought a company for more than its worth. Then pissed away millions more because he had no clue. He fired the senior management with a clue and kept the muppets. Then he put part of it into administration but bungled that so he had to pay even more to get his trademarks back. Then got into bed with two Americans with "colourful" reputations. In doing all this he pissed off his customer base in the one market that meant anything. Then he proposed to move everything abroad, destroying the brands principle USP.

Whatever he is he's no businessman.
