Hi guys I have been offered a lovely Griff 4.3 for 8k from a work colleague who needs to clear his garage. It is totally standard apart from Tuscan seats. I am thinking of buying this & selling on in a few months what do you think? I know without details it is hard to say but I don't see too many Griffs around at this price & I am very tempted.

Certainly seems like value for money but all depends on the condition of the car. If the chassis is a bit of a mess then not good value, if this and the body are in healthy condition then I couldn't see you loosing any money on it. Best go and have a look and roll around underneath it to see what its like.

As already said if the body and chassis are good then I can't see this losing you money even factoring in an engine refresh thumbup

Yes, I looked at buying it a couple of years ago, was owned by a guy in Stratford upon Avon. Was tehn sold on ebay. Mail me!

Sounds like the one that was for sale on PH for literally (it seemed) years. Be interested to know what's wrong with it. Had a tasy spec if I remember rightly (SS manifolds IIRC) - not standard.

No it's never been on PH it is a 1992 4.3 pre cat model with 56k miles & has just had a service & has 9 months mot left. I now know he will accept £7.5k for it so I am very tempted!

main thing is the chassis, and outriggers not too visible...

get it inspected - there are no cheap griff's, especially 4.3's.
