Your neighbours recatcion to your TVR??
Discussion
Just wondered what your neighbours think of your TVR?
Now, before I start, I do not rev high, drive fast etc. down our road.
Had the car 11 weeks now, whenever I start the car, or pull up and reverse onto the drive, the lady next door (mid twentys) scowls out the window and slams all the front room windows shut, making a point of opening them again once the TVR is turned off. THe other neighbour (early 30's) has been ignoring me since the Chim turned up on the drive. With another neighbour (motor bike nut) raving over it whenever he see's it and loves the noise!!
The old chap opposite loves it and waves whenever he see's me in it. Wierd.
Anyone alse with similar/different stories?
Cheers, a confused

One of my neigbours has a 993 Carrera S with sports pipes so he loves it. In fact most of them wonder whats happened to it when I don't drive it much!
Everyone wants a go in it and someone actually wants to buy a TVR now!
If anyone complains (not within reason) then I just rev louder....

I have had death threats from the @rsole nutter across the road but has now moved. New occupants have yet to show a reaction. I do not rev it and clear out asap when going somewhere. Other neihbours unknown but don't get any negative comments or reactions off them. One (several streets away) comments how nice it sounds and seems to want to buy one.
One neighbour drives a Porsche Boxster so his opinion on noise doesn't count anyway. The other one drives a Nissan Numpty "and cars are purely functional and just for getting from A to B" (in his case as slowly as possible)
The rest of them often tell me how wonderful it is to hear my leaving to play golf at 7.00am on a saturday/sunday.
It's just they phrase it differently............

My neighbours are all immigrants and don't speak English!
Sicilians on the left, Polish on the right and in the houses opposite...Bosnian, albanian, algerian, Iraqi...who knows? They all mutter things to me in languages I don't recognise.
Sort it out Mr Blair before I have to move to the Hebrides!!!

My Neighbours seem to like it and all want rides. The couple across the road use it as a secondary alarm clock and say they know it’s time to get up when they hear me leave for work. I left an hour early a few weeks ago and apparently they jumped out of bed thinking they’d overslept!

Have one neighbour who is a PHer anyway -
Paul. Several others who appreciate cars; and one old boy and several old dears who think it's very smart and "you're always polishing it". The rest keep themselves to themselves!
Oh and some young kids who are still Max Power brigade (bless 'em) and have now been converted!

Not that I have one.. YET but if I do get one I don’t think I will have too many problems.. got an Integra type R on one side and his mates turn up in stupid loud beach buggy type cars.. The other has an elise and has told me some mates have TVRs so not likely to be a problem !!
I am looking fwd to the day I roll it out of the garage onto the drive tho – will have to time it when they are both washing theirs !!

My neighbours don't even mind when I leave at 6am and rev mine in the garage !!
I've almost convinced one to buy himself, after taking him for a spin.
I have 2 police officers 2 doors down and both have enjoyed a late night foray down the East Lancs (2 mile straight with no speed trap hiding places) !

The kids over the road know me purely as "the one with the flashy car" know matter how many times I tell them my name and whenever they see me pull up in the Griff, come running over asking me to rev the engine.
Not too sure if the neighbours were pleased to here me start it up at 6:25am this morning though. Especially with the silencer now removed!!
