Cobra Alarm Chimaera

HI there

Just got me a Chimeara 4.0 1997. Bit confused with the Cobra alarm system, so any help would be appreciated.

On the keyring are two "devices". One looks like a mini-USB key, the other is by Cobra and is like a little mini car cig lighter. (crap descriptions but it's the best I can do). What are they both for??

Next thing, when I set the alarm, it lets out a continuous beep for around 30 secs. Is this correct or is it telling me there is a problem with one of the sensors??

i have had cobra's on last 2 cars little " cigarette lighter " is for use to reset alarm if battery in remote fails there should be a small socket to insert it somewhere. dont know about the usb. The beep onmine only sound if door not shut properly.
