Maybe not much use but I have Griff start up sound on PC. How I can get it to your mobile is another matter. Have tried to transfer it to my mobile but unfortunately file format not recognised

In which format is it? (Just in case ... just advise the file name extension e.g. .wav or .au)
If your mobile has a "voice recorder" function you can use this to record your own car and then appply it as a ring tone.
You will need a helper to stand at the back of the car and hit the right buttons whilst you control the revs / noise to your liking.
The first time I tried this the sound quality sounded more like a lawn mower than a TVR, however if you have a handy garage to back the car into you can use this as an echo chamber to get a far better result.
My efforts were acceptable, not epic and confirmed my family's thoughts that I was rather sad.

There are convertors out there
I am sure that all Nokias allow you to use MP3 files as ringtones. I know that the last 3 nokias I have had could all do this - just copy your favourite song over to the phone then make it the ringtone. If you have a wav file there are plenty of free converters that will change it to MP3. I was thinking of taking one of the 'see how my exhaust sounds' videos, stripping out the audio then MP3ing it. Just a case of finding the time....

I don't get it. Why would you want to listen to poor quality TVR noises on your phone?
Some complete Knobostrities like to have 'Bite Alarm' ring tones as used for fishing. Everytime the phone goes you have a heart murmur and think there is a carp racing off with your hook in it's mouth. With a TVR it would loosen my bowels somewhat thinking it's being nicked.
If you like the noise so much, drive it.

One of the best answerphone messages I had was a recording of a Silk Cut Jaguar flying past on the straight at Snetterton...
Most of the messages left generally had more to say about how cool the recording was than leaving the message...
In fact, some people actually forgot to leave a message and had to call back

I don't think a tinny little phone speaker is going to do a V8 note justice
Might be alright for an S6 though...
maybe not but I've got my Tam set as my ringtone on my N73 (stereo speakers & not bad for a phone) & got a "what the f@cks that" when it rang this morning in the office... Might be alright for an S6 though...

There are loads of tools out there to convert .wav to .mp3, which is likely to work on your phone. There are a few examples here - take your pick, they're all freeware.Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
