IMHO

Servicing Costs - Average (good for a performance car)
Reliability - Slightly Poor to Average depending on how well you chose your car.

T350 you can get a good one for £20k, put £10k in the bank for warranty, servicing etc. Perfect.

they're like any other hand made car..........all got their own little quibbles and I wouldn't say they are any more unreliable than any other car. Lets face it, you can buy a new modern car with no gaurantee it will be reliable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want lots of head turning looks and noise and a car that is fantastic fun to drive and you dont mind tinkering about then a TVR could be for you. If this isn't what you are looking for then steer clear.

I'm female, have no issues with driving these cars, be it with handling or reliability (thats what breakdown cover is for) even tinkering under the bonnet, and you get to meet lots of great people at the meets for a blabladrinkdriving

One word of warning, depending on the type of driver you are........just watch the loud pedal on tight bends/roundabouts in the wet cus their backsides go sideways quite easily biggrin

All depends on how often you drive it. having had a Chim 500 for 3.5 years (and about 35000 miles) and now my Tuscan for 2 years (and about 22000 miles) reliability has not been an issue. (ok so my Chim battery died on me one day and the Radiator went, the Tuscans Clutch went and yesterday the fuel pump gave me grief but then started working again). If you drive them regularly, then reliability should not be an issue. If you leave it to stand and take it out once per month for 300 miles, you are bound to have issues. Basically, buy it, drive it, drive it some more! wink

T350's are very comfy. Get one of those. My only car, and I wouldn't want anything else.

Yep! A couple of months ago. Love it, though do miss the V8 growl and sunburn a bit if I'm honest. Good points outweigh all that though, and it's a stunning design! The Chim has already been sold on by my buyer, and still going strong!

You still driving around in one of them old fashioned tivs then? hehe

I've got a S6 Cerb and it's a fantastic car. I do lot's of long distance driving (Autobahn etc) and the performance is amazing. The big advantage of the Cerb is that you have a boot and some space in the back.

With regards to the engine, the later you buy the better. If you look at the Speed 6 Engine forum you will find plenty of info on the engine from this link:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The reason I bought the S6 version is that it tends to be a bit smoother than the V8's on the road, although I have tracked it and it performed as well as any other cars I've driven in the track. Best thing to do is go for a test drive.
