Hi Guys, Been away for a while!

Bought a Restaurant in the Scottish Borders smile and haven't had a minute to myself for the past 4 months or so!!!!spin

TVR's been sittin pretty at the front of the Restaurant (catching everyones eye and causing a stir)However, the few times I've been out in her I've noticed a pretty severe Tappet Rattle which is causing me some concern. Thought it may be pinking but seems to be constant tapping increasing whith the revs, and getting quite noisy.

Havent seen another TVR since weve been here, and nobody seems to know were the nearest Dealer or Indi is. Any info would be appreciated.

By the way... What a beutiful part of the world...We've got a 50 seater restaurant and some of the most fantastic scenery in the country... a TVR drive around the Scottish Borders, followed by lunch in our Restaurant, may be an idea for the summer.. What do you think scratchchin

Edited due to realy bad spelling..tired and lonely!!

Yo! Whereabouts in the borders are you-I`m up there usually every couple of months or so (not in my car), so long as you dont object to a van sitting next to your chim...! Also dependant on wot time..!

Hi Stu

It could be the exhaust header gaskets - start the car (from cold) and put your hand near the headers ..

You could also have a friend block the exhaust with a couple of rags and see it the noise increases.

It also might be the cam but the is no easy test for that except for a strip down.

The resteraunt sounds fantastic.

Hi Stu

Your nearest dealer is HHC in Hexham. That would be your best bet as they really know their stuff. We did a joint BBQ (Central Scotland & NE TVRCC groups) in the summer to Craik forest which is near you. There were plenty of TVRs in the area that day.

Hi Dave

We'r in Selkirk. Right on the A7 as you enter the Town, you'l see the Chim otside. Closed for Winter Hours now, but open Wed - Sat 6pm - 9pm, Fri/Sat lunch & evening and Sunday Lunch... Pop in some time if you get the chance. We will be open all day, 7 days, from spring, through the summer, but things are very slow up to Christmas.

Hopefuly see you soon.
