!! i'm the person selling the Magaera badge on ebay, and i ain't no efin chancer gobby!!!!. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth on here.I purchased that badge from a member of the TVR management, after TVR decided to change the name and go for Tamora.
Perhaps someone from the factory would like to confirm this for me?

). If he had just said "look at this chancer selling fake tat" then yes, you have a point. But he asked if it was true or not.

Actually if TVR is ever resurrected under the current management the TVR Chancer could be an apt name for the next model.Yes, the Tamora was due to be called the Magaera but a badge with 7 digits cost more than one with six so they went for the cheaper option

I am still curious why Tamora was chosen at the last moment.
Obviously some chancer nicked all the Magaera badges

...and most likely sold all one of them to Valhalla! I'd like to think that the marketing dept. researched the public perceptions of the name in all potential markets and quite rightly realised it wouldn't go down too well in the southern regions of Europe.
I'm sure someone on here will very quickly point out PW was not intrested in anything other than the UK market at the inception of the Tamora... so it could not be that then.

Also, Megaera would be another hard to pronounce name like Chimaera, so maybe it was just that Tamora is more phonetic.
