Paintshield fantastic service

Just a really big thumbs up to Tom and his superb staff at Paintshield in Grantham, Had the full front of my Sagaris protected with the latest version of paintshield (apparently mine is the 1st car in the UK to have it), and I have to say the results are incredible, the stuff is nigh on invisible, and the sheen on the paintwork is mind blowing, the guy is just so knowledgable and helpful, He even lent us his Boxster to go into town for lunch, thats what I call service,cant recommend the company enough.

Sounds good! Is it a transparent film like Armourfend? Or is it something sprayed on? Do they have a website. Nick.

Its very similar to *rmourfen* but am I allowed to say this a lot better, they do have a website just google painshield and you will find.

When I had it done they both used exactly the same 3M film, I checked. It must be different now.

How do you live with your car being two different colours? The ads I've seen show the film as being a pinky colour - what if your car isn't pink?

I hope it isn't cut on the bodywork like Armfnd is. 1st hand experience of the sight when my Griff was done under insurance.
Wouldn't have it done again.

Interested in seeing how good this new stuff is though.

hi, i have just had a full respray on my griff (chianti starmist)
and was thinking about having this done to keep it immaculate,couple of questions
1. how much ?
2. will it come off without marking the paint at a later date.
3. is it invisible at a glance
4. what if the film gets marked by a stone, can it be touched up.
5. anyone got a good reason not to do it.
6. how long after respray should i leave the paint to breath

Tim,
Not sure if you were at the Growl but Andrea's flipflop yellow Griff was the first Griff to be done and it's been on for approx 25k miles - there are a few dinks in the film and maybe one that got through but hardly anything in comparison to what it would have been like without it. Shame the bonnet didn't get covered.
Pretty sure you can remove it without marking the paint.
Price - speak to Tom.
May show up on darker colours but you need to be more careful when polishing to avoind the white line.
Don't wax it before the film is put on. We put a bit of polish on but told the sprayer not to wax it.
Hope the above is correct but I'm sure Tom will be along to confirm.

hi ffg,sorry didn't make the growl,that was the day some p**ck in a saab took the front end off my griff, hence full respray.

The way we designed it Tom was that the natural line on the front of the Griff was where the film ended so less obvious than on other Tivs i've seen. The joins were by the indicator lens, unless the fil comes in bigger strips now.
