TVR kerb weights
Discussion
Been thinking recently about TVR their ability to spin facts to their advantage, something Alister Campbelt would be proud of.
I understand that the advertise weights for the 90's cars were
S - 940 kGS
Chim - 1040/75 kGS
Grif - 1060/75 kGS
Anyone have their car weighed, i.e during race prepping or somesuch
to prove/dispove the above figures.

I find they are all a bit meaningless when you stick a 14 stone driver in
Or 14.5 stone
, it was more of a generic question as the S is quoted at more than 100Kgs less than a griff or chim and I was running through some power to weight things in my mind
. In particular does a standard V8S have an edge on the griff/chim equivilant, as as things stand its like the giffamaera is carrying an extremely heavy passenger as an disadvantage.
Anyone have the 'true' weights for the vehicles in the original post.

And 15 tons of ally extras.... CDs.... Sat Nav.... etc.
Took about 80 KG of the 520 and got it weighed and it came to the official kerb weight.
It really does become a bit irrelevant when drivers etc are added.
