Tatty Oz wheels question
Discussion
Okay DaveM as no-one else is speaking up I'll pitch in. I cleaned up my OZ splitrims myself using various polishing compounds and a Dremmel with a flexible drive. They're not like other alloys and providing they don't have any dings they should respond well to polishing, etc. The bolts came up a treat using a mini wire brush attachment and the centres I stripped and then polished and relacquered. Took a bit of time but was worth it. Luckily I had a set of five spokes to keep the Griffith mobile.
Right found the thread i was thinking of its the bottim one,but you might find the others useful

Thanks peoples! I thought no-one was going to talk to me. I checked my armpits and it wasn't that. Maybe ity was the aftershave.
As the BBC modelled Frank Spencer on me, I may have to save my pennies and get them done professionally. Sounds like I need circa £400, especially as they are the earlier Griff (1992) ones that look like modern day wires.
Now, where's that money box........
