Not sure if i'm being a bit dull here or not, but do you have to pay £48 BEFORE you can even view the forum???

Seems a bit odd to me, as how do i know i want to join it until i see what its like, how busy it is and if things happen in wales etc?

Is anyone else a member from here? as im really not in a rush to spend nearly £50 to join a club i have no idea about.

And based on previous history, wales tends to be a very slow and non eventful area.

Wales is very quiet on the TVRCC forums to be honest, you might want to contact them, contact details here http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/regions/uk-west.asp They have a Yahoo newsgroup instead I think in the south.

You can visit the website and go to every area but the forums. Some of us are keen to have a general forum opened up for anyone to view and post in (as long as they "join" the forum - just like PH). Hopefully the committee will agreee to that.

The best bet is also to contact your RO who will be able to tell you about what is happening in your area. Some regions are very active. If you do not know who your RO is email me with the county you are in and I will look it up for you.

Well done Woody. Didn't know that map existed.

Edited to say I've also suggested they scrap the joining fee which is ridiculous and a disincentive to join. Not heard any response to that suggestion yet though.

Yep, you have to join before you can use the MEMBERS forums. The TVRCC isn't just about the website though. IMHO the membership fee is worth paying just for the Sprint Mag I receive every month. There are other membership benefits too such as discounts on insurance, parts, servicing etc. I got my membership money back two fold last year using companies who offered TVRCC member discounts. Monthly meetings are good too and so are most of the TVRCC events. Well worth the money.

Watch this space. I believe that influential people are in favour.

Let's just hope they sort out the log in procedure at the same time. It's so annoying if you use more than one pc.

If you're going to use clever words at least spell them right, anyway that's a rich comment coming from one of the PH TVRCC knockers 'clique'

Oh yea so annoying to have to type in a user name and password. rolleyes

Mind you I suppose it will be a problem if you have difficulty with your spelling.

Now now David theres no need for that, I would think with a name like he has I would guess we should give him a chance, its not fair to pick on people who are slower than others on the uptake wink

Most PCs have a facility to remember your password too, so when I jump from one PC to another and have to put my name and password in again, I only have to press the first letter and it puts in everything else for me, how hard can that be!!
