FINAL THUNDER BOLT (a positive thunder thread)

Following the Thunder Series of events, culminating in the Thunderball in February this year, the London Thunder 2006 bank account still had a modest credit balance.
It wasn't enough to distribute amongst the workforce as the individual amounts would have been miniscule. Bearing in mind that the Thunder Series was about remembering the people who built our cars, the Team of Organisers explored a number of avenues of the most appropriate way of spending this money. Following discussions with representatives of the ex TVR workforce and TVR owners, we have agreed to commission a specialist company to manufacture a one off Trophy for the TVR Tuscan and Sagaris Challenge Series. Fittingly, this idea was conceived by one of our Blackpool based colleagues.
This trophy will be dedicated to the Blackpool TVR workforce and awarded, every year, to the Most Improved Driver of the season. We are hopeful that the trophy will be presented to the successful driver each year by an ex member of the Blackpool workforce.
We think this would be a fitting gesture as this will help everybody to remember the passion with which our cars were built, the people who built them, and the generosity of the people who donated to the cause. The trophy will be there for as long as TVRs are involved in motorsport.
The concept of the design is as follows:
The trophy features a silver plated column with an undulating rib which reflects the smooth flowing form of the Tuscan bonnet. The form is further emphasised by the concave sections at the top corners which represent speed. The TVR THUNDER Logo (union flag), which many of you now sport on your cars, is enveloped in a garland of gilded laurels and is cold enamelled. The base is in wood with a silver plaque reading "Thunder Trophy inspired by the Blackpool TVR Workforce". Winners plaques could be applied around the base giving ample space for 20 years of winners.
The trophy will measure 450mm high and will look absolutely stunning.
