Does anyone have the phone number for A-Plan claims line?

Hi all,

I had an unfortunate meeting with a large stone on the way to see family this Christmas. I now have a nice chip in my windscreen right in the centre of my field of vision. I'm insured through A-Plan and could do with giving them a call but I don't have my documents with me. Does anyone have the number to hand? I've tried the Sales line but it's closed.

Don't think you necessarily have to inform your insurers.

When I had a similar occurence, I phoned round the windscreen repairers and the crowd tied to the RAC came out and checked if it could be resin repaired in-situ.

- In fact it couldn't, but they came out to my home and took details there of my insurers. I had a V8S at the time and the only outfit that could get a replacement screen were National - who were very professional.
They all seem to work on a back charging operation now.

Cheers for the info Nick. I wasn't sure whether my insurer had a deal with a particular auto-glazing firm so thought it best to check. Don't want to get to the stage of having the repair and the insurer refusing to pay.
