As you have an S make sure you've get Steve's Bible on the S Series (now at second edition), try TVRCC office. It has some history of the S and 3000S.

Four Authors have done TVR books, most have done two editions - search amazon.
P. Filby "Success" issued in 1976 - "good story" on the on the earlier cars - rare & expensive - second edition coming soon it is said!
Iain Ayre, "Muscle and Curves" (1994) styled as volume two to Filby, it wasn't, recent book has many errors and appears rushed to make TVR-60, topical pictures of London Thunder.
G. Robson, in two volumes and different editions, I don't have them, but appendix are refered to by others.
J. Tipler, Complete story (1994) upto Cerbera release. It was a good read. There is also a book of Photographs and a newer (2006) release - not seen the recent release.

There are also the Autocar reprint style books - in which Autocar complain about the S wipers being slow when new!

After the diappointment of Ayre, I'd say Tipler, or wait for Filby.
