Pre 80's Extravaganza '08

will be held at:

Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Ruddington, Notts, NG11 6NX.

www.nthc.co.uk

The centre caters for numerous forms of transport including Buses, Lorries, Main line diesel locomotives, Main line steam locomotives, Miniature railways and of course Cars.

Although the event is aimed at Pre 80's cars we have secured a show area within the compound for post 80's and averyone is welcome.

The cost will be £5.00 per car irrespective of the number of occupants.

We would love to see +70 cars this year.

Please make a note in your diary.......

Hi Glyn
Is there separate parking for pre 80s and post 80s cars, or will they all be parked together.
I will try and make it this year (work permitting) and will put it on our events list.
Hope to see you around soon Glyn (Chatsworth maybe)

We'll be there most of the day, the trains run to Loughborough on Sunday too, pass within 100yards of where I lived for 26 years. I know that section of line blindfolded, seeing as I played on it from 1970 ( the line closed in 1969, Beeching) till the early eighties.

If anybody is going to this and coming up either the M1 or M42/A42 and want to travel in a convoy for the last bit of the journey, myself and FFG will be meeting at the services at M1 J23a at 10:30am and you'll be welcome to join us on the scenic route up from there.

Wonderful day guys. I had a great time, as did my mate who was in his element with all the older cars with the various engines found in them.

Well done the organisers clap
