Ok, I'll bite.
Use any MOT centre- but here's a few tips:

Run/drive the car up to full engine cooling temp- ie- the radiator fans kick in- to arrive for the test at nearest the peak temp. This will minimise the chance of it failing its emissions test (the most common failure, presuming it's an RV8 powered car). Also, as part of the test, the car has to be held at 2000 or so revs for quite a while. You don't want that done on a stone cold engine!

Stress that, as it has an LSD, the testers do NOT use a rolling road for the rear wheels.

Suggest/insist that YOU pilot the car through the test. After all, you know the car better than them and can quickly locate all lamp switches etc when required. You're paying for the test..so you have an influence on how your car is tested.

I always used Tom at TJ motors in Boroughbridge (01423 326575) for my S3, not sure which testing station he uses. Only 25 minutes up the A1 from you.

It's a Speed 6 but I appreciate where your coming from, and your concerns are pretty much the same as mine, especially starting from cold etc.

thanks
