T350/Tamora Engine Rebuild?

Need some advice - thinking of one of the above, but so many of the ad's state "full engine rebuild".

Can't find much to tell me why this is such a frequent occurence (apart from rants about TVR reliability).

Can live with the odd bout of unreliability, but not a 3k rebuild..ouch!

loads of info on speed 6 engine rebuilds just do a search ! but make sure you keep some money aside if the worst happens

Ive looked into this a little bit, there is plenty of info on these forums. I do know there are some firms that will do a SP6 rebuild with a 2 year and unlimited mileage warranty, which is pretty re-assuring.

Some interesting reading here, in case you're worried about the worst happening.
However, from what I've read of late, there appears to be solutions to most, if not all the [perceived/actual] issues with the speed six units.

But then again, I have just a humble RV8, so what do I know?

Lots of cars haven't had rebuilds. Nearly 36k and all is well (fingers, legs, toes, bo77ox all firmly crossed....)

Of course there is Dom at Power - but I would also ask Heath/Paul at X Works Services in Kirkham, Lancashire for their advice.
