T350 insurance is up for renewal and I've just had a very competitive quote from Adrian Flux Insurance, courtesy of the RideDrive scheme, which beat my (already good) renewal by over £150. My question is, what are Adrian Flux like to deal with as an insurance co.? Any good/bad experiences on here - without recourse to naming and shaming, obviously?

Thanks
Martin

See previous threads on here.

In summary, you buy (£350ish) driving course from RideDrive - one 8-hour day or 2x4 hours - which is taught according to the Police roadcraft approach and is brilliant btw. Your driving is assessed and if it meets a required standard you earn a certificate that you can use to negotiate 25% off your annual insurance quote if you renew through Adrian Flux. Simple eh and seems to work.

Adrian Flux are "just" a broker. So any real problems will come if you have to deal with the actual insurer.

I had a claim on an Adrian Flux policy where the insurer was Ensign. All handled very smoothly.

I'm now with Adrian Flux with NIG as the insurer.

I have always insured through adrian flux since I was 17, but only because they were the only people to insure me with the cars I have had. They are very accomadating though and the european breakdown cover has proved very handy!

N.B. I also did the ride drive course to get my premium down. Definately worth it. Improving driving skills is one of the best 'upgrades' you can do.

yes ride drive days are excellent, bit expensive but still worth it. My style of driving changed considerably after just a day with one of thier instructors. It also prompted me to do a lot of reading of the police driving and IAM books which are the same thing in more depth. I'd quite like to do another one this year just to see how far I have come on. It's also quite good fun prattling on with my copper mate about the "system", he was quite impressed in the change in my driving style since the course too.

You have to pay a little extra for the adrian flux "assesment" and certificiate, and I havent even used mine yet but it might come in handy when renewal comes around.

Thanks all.

I appreciate they are just the broker, but thats who you deal with. Spoken to them again today to fine tune and think I shall bite the bullet tomorrow. Think I'll include the breakdown cover, too!

I've been with Adrian Flux for several years now - had a claim a couple of years ago. It was handled well & very happy with them. I've had slightly lower quotes from others on renewal but have stayed with them - that speaks for itself
