We live in the most stunning area in the country and yet, there is no TVRCC for Peak Forest.

Would anyone be interested in my wife and I becoming RO's for the area? If there is enough interest we'll give it a go.

I think more people would probably turn out for events on a Sunday if they didn't have so far to travel. I know at least 5 other TVR's in the area (New Mills/Whaley Bridge) 2 Chims, 2 Cerbs a Tuscan and a Griff.

My wife has already run another car club for the Austin Healey (Northern). It was supposed to be her boss but as she was his PA, the role always ended up on her shoulders and his name was in the mag!

I have emailed the TVRCC and they are looking into it and getting back to me.

Let us know your thoughts - spring is nearly here and there are fabulous runs to be had and great pubs to visit.

Good idea. yes

Can I suggest avoiding other local(ish) meets. SYorks is 3rd Sunday, EMids and NYorks are 2nd Sunday. Not sure when the Westside meets are.

Yip, we would be regulars as long as its on a Sunday afternoon. I run a Tuscan 2 and the wife runs a Tamora. We live in the Glossop area. There are a least 7 other tivvers in and around the area also.

I'm pretty close for Peak district as well, some nice runs out through Castleton, up Winnats pass, Dove Holes, Sparrowpit, etc... would be REALLY welcome.

Maths like that reminds of the Sprint article where they interviewed factory staff about the number of people in their team.

You've just missed a WBSCC meeting.

I used to be the RO for this area. e-mail me through my profile if you like :-)

Defecting Kev? No Chance. You know us, we get about a bit. We also attend Blackpoool, Cheshire and Lancashire, and other regional meetings.

The response to this has been brilliant - many thanks guys and please keep them coming.

Any help we can get would be a bonus - I have emailed Pietro already and he is looking into it for me.

Yeah, this is a good point, I would like to come along occasionally, but it would make sense to bear those in mind when you are arranging (are there any other possible clashes also?).

PEAK FOREST REGION IS REBORN

All systems go guys and girls. We have been given the green light from the TVRCC, so just need to get the form filled and sent back and sort a location out. The wife and I are going out this weekend to suss a few places out and will let you all know early next week, when we have found somewhere appropriate. Hopefully we can have the first meet on either the last sunday in March or the 1st in April, as neither of these seem to clash with any local clubs. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Watch this space.

Paul.
